i finally translated another issue of our boredom ministry.
join the great cloud of witnesses!
how can we imitate the faithful men of old?.
Re apostates, this basically sums up the WTBTS hope for such ones;
If we patiently reflect Jehovah’s disgust by demonstrating sincere aversion for such ones, we may experience the joy of seeing their corpses decompose. –Jeremiah 25:33.

living by the spirit benefits the individual and those around them.. .
I'm with Outlaw on this one.
You can't beat the guidance of a good Scotch single malt when you're feeling a bit lost.

regarding being in the house with someone of opposite sex...thats a conscience thing too, the individual decides yet many claim that if they were seen in the house with someone of opposite sex they could stumble people..i think its them who have the problem, how can someone think the worse and make an accusation!?!?!
they are the ones with the problem and should be counselled, not the ones together.
its up to the individuals, we shouldnt have to take on other people consciences and be worried what others say...jehovah sees all things and at the end of the day we stand before jah's throne on judgment day not sister or brother so and so.
Yes i agree.
Two unattached people of opposite sex may well be comfortable with eachother whist they are just by themselves in an alone setting.
Just because they are in such a setting does not mean they are suddenly going to give into a fleshly temptation, rip eachothers clothes off, and get shagging.
As Blondie has illustrated with the Watchtower extracts, i think this is a WTBTS teaching that is both paranoid and narrow minded.
Good topic.

made you look, made you stare, made the barber cut your hair,.
cut it long, cut it chort, cut it with a knife and folk.. .
thats a silly saying we would say as kids...you would pretend someone had dropped something, when they looked you say that lol.
When i drop one i manage to clear the room
i know while in the org we get told alot to tell everyone that we are jw's, cos its reputation is so good.
but that dosn't explain why people still refuse to answer the doors to them, or hide when they come aknocking.. so how are jw's really viewed by the outside world?.
Well the Jehovah's Witnesses themselves believe that they are hated. This of course conveniently fits in with Jesus words regarding his true followers in the world; 'The world will hate you, just as it has hated me'.
But in reality and in my opinion, the JWs are not hated, instead they are just viewed as maybe being a bit strange, odd, perculiar, social misfit perhaps, and a pest (with knocking on your door all the time).
The only time when they become hated is when they allow their children to die by refusing them blood transfusions.

anyone seen this film?.
i saw it years ago and absolutely howled at it.. the way it takes the piss out of the religious leaders, the newly turned christians, and has a cheeky stab at the romans and pontius pilate is great.. seeing the funny side of what so many people take so seriously, for me is a breath of fresh air.. .
fwow him to the fwoooor.... .
